Many folks are as tired of networking as they are selling. And most of the time it is for the very same reasons –
A) Not comfortable with it.
B) Comfortable with it, just not getting the results they desire.

Well, keep doing what you’ve been doing and you’ll keep getting what you’ve been getting! Typically it’s not the activity but the process that is the problem. Yep, networking is a process - a system of behaviors that produce predictable and replicable results. Think well-oiled machine!

Let’s take a different look at networking, concentrating on a couple of ideas or strategies that could help you produce more efficient, effective results. For example Master Networkers -
§ Have SMART goals or objectives for their networking activities.
§ Can quickly and concisely tell you what they do and the issues or obstacles their clients ask them to solve.
§ Give more than they receive.
§ Are totally focused on others and rarely if ever on themselves.
§ Are altruistic, they facilitate matches and intros to other people in their network, people they believe should know each other.
§ Are proactive.
